Thomas Xavier electrifies Pharaoh Phonix release log with ‘Good Dome’ EP

Pharaoh Phonix founder Thomas Xavier maintains his uncompromising release pace—and caliber—on his first EP of 2022, Good Dome. The label head’s third all-time EP follows Go To Church (May 2021) and Pussy on a Pedestal (September 2021), and it’s on this sonically solid foundation that Xavier primes his audience for a bubbling over of house energy, starting with “Flex Yo Freak.” The electric marriage of bass-house, G-house, and tech-house culminates in a powerhouse production that would perform well in any peak time set but—and perhaps most importantly—underscores Xavier’s growth as a producer since he burst onto the dance/electronic scene in 2021. After making his presence known and felt on the Good Dome EP with “Flex Yo Freak,” Xavier doubles down on the parcel’s eponymous bassline-led number, punctuated with deep vocal samples.

“‘Good Dome’ and ‘Flex Yo Freak’ are two songs that express my journey into the depths of life. To foster a beginner’s mind, and expose your limiting beliefs…while getting weird…priceless,” Xavier said.

The Good Dome EP finds its home on Pharaoh Phonix as the label continues its expansion into the live events format through Pharaoh’s Chamber, a recurring event series at The Miramar Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
