ZHU celebrates ‘DREAMLAND 2021’ on one-year anniversary of album announcement with Kasbo remix

Approximately one year ago, ZHU fans received some long-awaited news: the famed producer would soon release his junior studio album, DREAMLAND 2021, led by “Sky Is Crying” with Yuna. Released in late April, the body of work features crowd favorites like “Came For The Low” with partywithray, “ONLY” with Tinashe, and Bob Moses‘ edit of “Desire.”

To commemorate the one-year mark of DREAMLAND 2021‘s announcement, ZHU tapped Kasbo for a take on the project’s debut single. Released via Astralwerks, Kasbo’s remix takes the original’s soothing vocals and brooding soundscapes to a new octave, adding his signature bright synths and an overall euphoric nature. Kasbo is able to blend the melodic pitch changes with smooth guitar riffs and a harmonizing bassline, making for a composition that’s festival season-ready.

Kasbo recently graced Louis The Child and EVAN GIIA‘s “Blow The Roof” after supplying a string of remixes for 2020’s The Making of a Paracosm, which was named one of Dancing Astronaut‘s Top Electronic Albums of 2020.
