Alison Wonderland shares opening track from ‘Loner’
While in the midst of her 2022 tour, Alison Wonderland is bolstering Loner‘s tracklist with “Forever,” first premiered at her Red Rocks Temple of Wonderland show in 2021. Led by offbeat drum work and drawn-out synths in what could be considered a twist on experimental-trap, “Forever” follows March’s “New Day.”
Wonderland took to TikTok to credit “Forever” as “her favorite song that she has ever written.” “Forever” is about a time when she’d hit rock bottom and believed that circumstances would not change. “It will feel like forever, until it doesn’t,” her close friend Trent told her. The quotation has stayed with her since, ultimately translating to inspiration for the opening number of her junior LP, which arrives on May 6.
