Justin Martin synthetically reimagines QRTR’s ‘Snowfall’

Distinguished by a captivating melodic motif, a rippling vocal chop, and sonically advanced percussion, QRTR’s “Snowfall” recently received a striking makeover from the remix guru himself, Justin Martin. “I can’t express how much I love [Justin Martin’s] remix of my tune,” Brooklyn-based producer QRTR wrote in a tweet. “It really is so fkn good i’m still in shock.”

“Snowfall (Justin Martin Remix)” arrives on the heels of Martin’s recently dispatched Let’s EP, which he first began rolling out at the start of the calendar year. The San Francisco native’s latest rework complements his preceding project quite well, offering similar experimental soundscapes sustained by an in-the-pocket drum sequence.

Out now via Rules Don’t Apply Records, QRTR’s Snowfall EP also offers two remixes from Maude Vôs and Slug Father. Stream “Snowfall (Justin Martin Remix)” and the EP in its entirety below.
