Kungs celebrates release of ‘Club Azur’ with funk-infused Orbit Playlist

Kungs is the new godfather of French electronic music and, back in 2016, was distinguished as the country’s most Shazam’d artist, thanks to the success of “This Girl (vs Cookin’ On 3 Burners).” In the time since, the radio favorite has notched north of 6.5 billion streams and earned 13x Diamond status.

Four years after the release his career-cementing hit and now 25-years-old, Kungs has made appearances at prestigious festivals such as Coachella, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and more. He even started his own Mediterranean-inspired digital fiesta, Club Azur, during the pandemic, which led to the birth of the summer 2021 anthem, “Never Going Home.” That song provided a gateway to his newest album, Club Azur, which features collaborations with Boys Noize, The Knocks, and more.

To celebrate the party-fueled project, Kungs curated an exclusive Orbit Playlist for Dancing Astronaut featuring one of Club Azur‘s lead singles, “Clap Your Hands,” as well as a selection of groovy crate-diggers including the “Villa Remix” of Findlay Brown’s “Promised Land,” Liam Doc’s “My Love is Free,” and more.

“For this playlist, I chose songs I really love that I’ve been playing a lot this year. Hope you’ll dig it as much as I do,” Kungs said. Stream below.
