London-based vocalist Yasmin Jane joins the mix and lends her talents to Harper’s latest — a chilled out mood-setter called “Livewire.” The sonic version of a posh, rainy, London afternoon, the duo weave a hypnotic web of silky smooth guitars and playful vocals. Jane’s distinctive tone has a certain knack for captivating while Calper’s subdued production sinks its hooks like a grey sky and a light drizzle.
