Ezediel’s inventive sound design takes further shape on ‘Dracarys’

From its guttural, growling vocal and eerie, gothic choir chants, Ezediel’s “Dracarys” sonically stands apart from the sounds pervading the dance/electronic circuit. The single’s unique sound design confers a dark and unmistakable presence to “Dracarys,” the New York-born producer’s answer to February’s “Cold Bushido.” With its crepuscular interplay of subtle but punctuating bass and percussion, not to mention its shadowy tone, “Dracarys” has a devilish aspect to it. Overall, it’s an extension of the style previously evidenced on “Cold Bushido,” and it’s one that’s already won the ascendant act praise from streamers, who’ve flooded Ezediel’s SoundCloud comments with positive affirmations of just how different and promising his brand of sound is. Ezediel’s approach is best understood when heard; stream “Dracarys” below.
