Four Tet delivers 3LW-sampled ‘Looking at Your Pager’ under KH alias
Four Tet‘s Kieran Hebden recently unlocked a long-awaited ID under his second artist alias, KH. Out now via his self-founded Text Records, “Looking at Your Pager” earned itself widespread inclusion in DJ sets during last summer’s festival circuit. Played and supported by the likes of Peggy Gou, Ben UFO, Fred again.., and others, the 3LW-sampling track quickly grew as a fan-favorite ID. Last month, on April 12, Four Tet announced on Instagram that he had successfully cleared the single’s track-defining sample.
On May 20, KH finally dispatched “Looking at Your Pager” alongside an official Trevor Jackson-produced visualizer. Marking KH’s second-ever release, following up 2019’s “Only Human,” Four Tet describes the new record as “universal, positive, and futuristic.” He added in a statement,
“I think more people have asked me about this track than for anything else I’ve ever made and I’ve had amazing times playing it to the best crowds you could ask for. It took quite a while to get approval for the vocal sample but it finally happened recently and now the music is out in the world for everyone.”
