Good Morning Mix: SLANDER interlace nostalgia, novelty at Coachella 2022
SLANDER‘s Derek Andersen and Scott Land first attended Coachella as General Admission (GA) ticket-holders in 2010, the same year that Tiësto broke ground as the festival’s first dance/electronic headliner. In 2022, Land made a point to enter Coachella via General Admission, stating,
“We were GA back then, we were GA for a number of years after that, and today, I was GA before we get to perform.”
SLANDER recently uploaded their full Coachella Weekend 2 set to SoundCloud, reflecting 55-and-a-half minutes of nostalgic throwbacks interlaced with new and even unreleased music. The “Love Is Gone” producers performed during the 2022 festival’s second weekend on April 22, the same day that “Walk On Water,” the duo’s Dylan Matthew-assisted first album single, officially landed on digital streaming platforms. Per SLANDER, listeners can find “a couple songs from [their] new album at the end of our Coachella set!”
