‘Techno Worlds’ book to arrive during world tour of German art exhibition
The Goethe-Institut’s “TECHNO WORLDS” art exhibition examines techno music’s historical impact on modern art, technology, personal identity, and of course, club culture. On June 22, in celebration of the exhibit’s world tour, a 300-page paperback extension of the art show will officially hit digital bookshelves. Published by Hatje Cantz, an art-centric German book publisher, Techno Worlds in print will contain written contributions from musicians such as DeForrest Brown Jr., Chicks on Speed, Rangoato Hlasane, Robert Lippok, M+M, and Mamba Negra, among many other notable contributors. The book will also feature a total of 80 illustrations; one of the publication’s key visual artists’ is none other than Detroit’s own Abdul Qadim Haqq.
