Dance/electronic is well-represented on KTUphoria 2022: Regard, LODATO, Laidback Luke, and more

Come June 18, iHeartMedia’s 103.5 KTU, “The Beat of New York,” will take over Jones Beach Theater for KTUphoria 2022. The Wantagh, New York-based event features a smattering of in-demand voices, such as Pitbull and Ava Max, with dance/electronic representation. Of note, KTUphoria will feature Kosovan-Albanian DJ/musician Regard, best known for his remix of Jay Sean’s 2008 single, “Ride It,” Laidback Luke, and LODATO.

Regard and LODATO are especially synergistic fits for KTUphoria 2022, considering that they are both up for the 2022 Electronic Dance Music Award (EDMA) for “Dance Radio Artist of the Year.” Fellow nominees include Dancing Astronaut‘s 2021 Breakout Artist of the Year, John Summit, Shane Codd, ACRAZE, and KREAM. Regard (for “You” with Troye Sivan and Tate McRae) and LODATO (for “Neon Lights“) have also received respective nominations for “Dance/Electro Pop Song of the Year.”

The same can be said of Ava Max, whose toplines have frequently infiltrated the dance/electronic space of late; she figured on “The Motto” with TiĆ«sto, which is up for the 2022 EDMA for “Dance Song of the Year (Radio).” The single has also been nominated for “Dance/Electro Pop Song of the Year.”

Tickets to KTU’s 25th anniversary event are currently available for purchase here.
