After choosing not to sign the original, Mark Knight remixes Avicii’s ‘My Feelings For You’
Following his recent RETNA-assisted tech-house single, “What I Need,” Mark Knight has formally issued a disco-house rendition of Avicii and Sebastien Drums‘ “My Feelings For You.” Roughly 12 years ago, Knight passed on signing the original Cassius-sampling progressive house record, which would go on to become a global hit after materializing on Ultra Records in 2010. The Toolroom Records owner bore witness to the original’s massive success story from a front-row seat on the sidelines, chalking his missed opportunity up to a “huge A&R faux pas.”
As part of Vicious Recordings’ “30 Years of Vicious” anniversary compilation—and in full-circle fashion—Knight has seized the opportunity to become a part of the song’s resounding legacy, offering a Toolroom-style take on Avicii’s immortal record. Following Don Diablo’s official future house remix, “My Feelings For You (Mark Knight Remix)” is now streaming everywhere via Vicious Recordings. Take a worthwhile listen below.
