Besomorph’s signature dark melodics provide a lush platform for Ryan Curtis’ topline on “So Low,” the Los Angeles-anchored producer’s sixth original single of 2022. Crawling at a slower BPM than that of its hypnotic predecessor, May’s “MDMA,” produced alongside OCTA and Moodygee, “So Low”—which clocks in at a one-minute and 37-second runtime—is a concise but climactic follow-up. And though Besomorph has predominantly seated his productions within the Brazilian bass/slap house space, by deviating from this sonic pattern, “So Low” underscores Besomorph’s dynamism.
