It’s a mega collaboration for the ages, as superstars David Guetta and Dimitri Vegas link with rising DJ and producer Azteck and dual singer/actress Nicole Scherzinger on “The Drop.” Dimitri Vegas is best known as as half of the duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike of course, globally renowned for their anthemic outputs and as ambassadors of Belgium’s Tomorrowland. However, this will be his second official solo release following “Pull Me Closer” in March 2021—a tune strategically stashed for Guetta at the time. The layer of talent is topped off by Scherzinger, of Pussycat Dolls fame, among much more.
The track is upbeat and and dance floor primed by nature, featuring a bold, bass-heavy production framework with catchy vocals from Scherzinger, packaged neatly with an animated, action-packed music video to boot. The visual composition portrays the collaborators as superhero versions of themselves in a comic book fantasy world, taking them on an array of adventures across sonic landscapes.
“The Drop” is available now on Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike’s imprint, Smash The House and you can catch the aforementioned artists across the festival circuit this summer, including at Tomorrowland’s first weekend kicking off July 14.
