Long-awaited Kaskade ID, ‘Birds of Paradise,’ comes to life

Nearly one year after a monumental performance at SoFi Stadium, Kaskade has finally shared all of the unreleased tracks from his two-hour headline show. Dancing Astronaut was present in Los Angeles on July 17, 2021 for the inaugural dance event at SoFi Stadium. While one of the most memorable moments of the night was the glimpse of the future with deadmau5 as Kx5, Kaskade’s now officially delivered “Birds of Paradise” with L’Tric and Sydney Streb stands out among the evening’s top highlights as well.

“Birds of Paradise” is Kaskade’s first single since May’s “Solta a Pressão” with Chemical Surf. With a diverse palette of production styles that capture progressive and deep-house sounds, and even some downtempo pockets, “Birds of Paradise” reflects Kaskade’s production acumen at peak creativity. His latest single cannot be contained to a single genre, as the long intro suggests a deep-house Redux tune before Kaskade’s genius comes into focus with a drawn out riser over a tech-house break. Far more jumpy than some of his other deep-house works, “Birds of Paradise” is the perfect transition track to move from deep-house to his festival-ripe progressive house.
