Above & Beyond drop collaborative ‘Chains’ with Marty Longstaff

Above & Beyond are back with a brand new progressive house track with longtime friend, Marty Longstaff. The highly anticipated tune, “Chains,” marks the trance trio’s third collaboration with Longstaff, bringing glorifying energy and high-powered crescendoes throughout the composition. The four previously worked together on “Flying By Candlelight” and “Tightrope,” which was released on Above & Beyond’s eighth album Common Ground. This anthem was first released in their Group Therapy 450 celebration at The Drumsheds in London back in September of 2021. After the trio unveiled “Chains” for the first time, touting the signature sound Above & Beyond delivers, fans took to social media to speculate heavily on an official release date.

The group’s Tony McGuinness offered a somewhat nebulous comment about their new single: “Jump and the net will appear.” The fleeting remark originated from a colleague of McGuinness’s at Warner Records, and often resurfaces for the songwriter in the concepting stages. With the uncertainty of the last few years, the axiom reared its head again and “Chains” was born. The trio is known for selling out hundreds of shows each year, performing and giving their all to thousands in the crowds. They are slated to headline Creamfields, EDC Orlando, and many more shows throughout the rest of 2022. Make sure to stream “Chains” out on all platforms now.
