Checo’s ‘Palo Santo’ captures the sound of an endless summer
“Palo Santo” on, stressors off. For a nifty two minutes and 13 seconds, Miami-based producer Checo controls the agenda, and it’s full of nothing but serotonin. The buoyant production, defined by its interplay of piano-house and pop, captures all of summer’s highs in a carefree, weather’s-just-right manner.
“The world feels crazier and crazier every day and music continues to be a momentary escape for so many. And even though music is limitless in the feelings it can provoke, sometimes I just want to keep it simple and feel good, which is what ‘Palo Santo’ is really about,” Checo commented, adding, “[it’s] nothing complex, just a song to make people feel good at any moment wherever they are.”
Sourcing a vocal assist from Web3/NFT native artist Magic Mullet (from Doodle’s NFT community), “Palo Santo” does just that.
