Flume shares full version of ‘Skin’-era ID following Discord Q&A
One day after announcing a third and final show at The Brooklyn Mirage on September 28, Flume entered his Discord channel to host an hour-long AMA (“ask me anything”). One of the queries concerned the status of a long sought-after ID known among listeners as “GREENPEAS.”
In 2017, environmentalist group Greenpeace Australia Pacific uploaded a 90-second YouTube video featuring a never-before-heard Flume record. Known among fans as “GREENPEAS,” the ID did not appear on Streten’s Hi This Is Flume mixtape in 2019, nor did it materialize on his junior LP, Palaces, released last May. But after the Q&A concluded, “GREENPEAS” found resolution in Flume’s decisive response to the fan-submitted question: the dissemination of a download link to the full-length version of the 2017 ID.
