John Summit recruits Volaris as first Off The Grid Records signee on ‘Slow Motion’
There’s a number of rationales as to why Dancing Astronaut‘s 2021 Breakout Artist of the Year decided to launch his own label. At the top of that agenda is—of course—providing the right platform for undiscovered artists to share their newest productions. And considering how lucrative IDs in John Summit‘s sets can instantaneously become, Off The Grid couldn’t be a more efficient label to do that through. After owning the label’s first pair of offerings since its inception back in May, Summit is now turning the release reigns over to Volaris for their sophomore single—and first solo appearance—”Slow Motion.”
After a night at Ushuaïa Ibiza at the beginning of June, Summit shared a clip of his set that featured an unreleased demo that’d been a part of his sets ever since his overpacked debut at Ultra’s UMF Radio Stage. And the swarm of replies searching for the track in question ultimately dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s to Summit making Volaris his first label signee. “Slow Motion” drives Off The Grid’s “house without limits” ambition forward, with the UK tandem infusing their stylistic branding of “big melodies and massive beats” with melodic tech-house in its finest state.
