Bedouin, Joseph Capriati, Flashmob, and Davide Squillace add another round of remixes to Rony Seikaly’s ‘Moonwalk’

Just as Rony Seikaly‘s sophomore album Moonwalk entered the dance music dimension in early May, the deep house artist is back to deliver another round of remixes inspired by the LP, via his very own Stride Record Label. After a 10-year hiatus from the dance scene, the NBA veteran and prolific DJ made a comeback with a 26-track album paired with two remix packages a few months after the album release. With round one of remixes having landed in July, and the second round touching down this past August, a third round of remixes arrives in similarly flawless fashion.

“It is always an honour to have contributions from great artists. I have always found the unique point of view that other creative minds can bring to your work to be something very enriching. It is fantastic to see how songs that I have made with so much love are transformed and enhanced with the contributions of other producers. This was 100% the case with the 11 remixes that have been made of the MOONWALK tracks,” Seikaly says.

The third round of remixes lets listeners float into another dimension of dance music with new blends of each creation that Bedouin, Flashmob, Davide Squillace, and Joseph Capriati deliver. “Seeing how artists play them is very satisfying. For example, over the summer and a few weeks ago, when I played a lot of them in my Burning Man session, it was amazing to see how people absorbed them and really enjoyed them,” the Moonwalk maker comments.

While “Mila” sees an organic remix vision in the realm of deep house, “Dreams” gets multi-instrumental amplification alongside an unmistakable techno thump. “I’m OK With Yesterday” gets an ample surge of groove and funk shockwaves, and the new “Nights Into Mornings” is focused on more of a cutting, dark-techno style. Ultimately, Seikaly offers more cause for celebration with the satisfying touches the remix package affords listeners.
