Far Out pairs mid-tempo, melodic-bass on Ophelia Records return, ‘Slow Motion’ with Rikki
After welcoming in summer on Ophelia Records, Far Out made his way back to do the exact same to send the season out the door. Deservedly named one of Dancing Astronaut‘s Artists to Watch in 2022, Far Out supplied our defending label of the year with his sophomore label project, and his first solo outing on it since then—following “Diamond Hearts” with DVRKCLOUD and RBBTS—has now arrived in the form of “Slow Motion” alongside Rikki.
Anyone that’s witnessed a Far Out set in recent months would be no stranger to what “Slow Motion” has to offer. And with the latest example as to why he originally earned his way into our class of dance music’s brightest this year, Far Out extends his signature cinematic grace beyond the single’s jaw-dropping art, delicately twisting together the edges of melodic bass and midtempo while Rikki’s heartfelt vocals narrate the track’s larger message.
