Swedish House Mafia share ‘alternate mix’ of ‘Heaven Takes You Home’ with Connie Constance
No one was expecting to see Swedish House Mafia on their release radar today. But in the midst of the Paradise Again tour, the trio decided to deliver some new music ahead of their stops in both Las Vegas and San Diego this weekend. “Heaven Takes You Home” with Connie Constance had already received both an extended mix from the Swedes themselves and a rework from Moojo, but they completely switched things up time around by giving it an “alternate mix,” the first time they’ve ever done so for a release.
“Heaven Takes You Home” had been an immediate fan-favorite cut from Paradise Again the moment the album landed in April and has also been one of the most memorable parts of the tour when mashed up with “Sweet Disposition” and Axwell’s “Graveyard” remix. And the alternate version takes it in an entirely different direction than the house-oriented original, with Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello giving it a chimed-filled, toned-down reconstruction that provides an entirely fresh perspective to Connie Constance’s already flawless vocals.
