Zeds Dead, Blanke meet on Deadbeats for long-awaited pairing, ‘The Machines’
Zeds Dead have continually managed to find a balance between their signature Deadbeats sound and a relatively lighter side that they’ve explored throughout most of 2022. After a pair of singles—”I Took A Ride” as well as their “Alive” sequel with MKLA—Zeds Dead are now moving right back into their hard-hitting style for one of bass music’s most-anticipated IDs of the year alongside Blanke, “The Machines.”
Teased in numerous sets this past year and also presented by both at Deadrocks back in July, “The Machines” quickly switches from an eerie intro a drop loaded with freshly sequenced synths that makes for the ultimate mixture of mid-tempo and dubstep, reminiscent of each producer’s impressionable touch. And as Blanke turns the corner from his two-for-one ÆON EP showing, he described the long-awaited crossover as “one for the old school Blanke fans” that will surely make the rounds during his newly revealed Earth To The Stars tour.
