Amil Stewart’s classic ‘Knock On Wood’ has received and unlikely but well-received re-imagination from club stalwart 4B and Miami’s Mikey Barreneche. The original top line and big horn section sneak their way into this remix amidst a flurry of dance floor filling beats. A 1979 classic turned bombastic new original dubbed “Louder,” 4B and Barreneche craft a dynamic bass line around the Amil Stewart’s catchy vocal riff and blaring trumpets. What you won’t hear is a recommendation to knock on wood but you will be inspired to jump and stomp to this new release expertly built for the festival and club scene, not for easy listening radio.
