Bicep finally share long-coveted ID, ‘Water’

Electronic duo Bicep put on some of the most spectacular shows around. While the likes of RÜFÜS DU SOL and ODESZA are quite popular in the United States, across the pond, Bicep command a reputation in the UK as one of the foremost live acts on the scene today. Recently hitting the road stateside, Bicep closed Primavera Sound Los Angeles, Portola Music Festival, among other headlines at some of the most esteemed venues in the US. Now, the pair are officially adding a live favorite to their catalog. Landing via Ninja Tune, “Water” is Bicep’s first original single since the duo’s 2021 Isles Deluxe LP.

For those that may not have kept up with Bicep’s tour tracklist over the last year, “Water” has been the lone ID in their sets, and anticipation for the new track has been at a fever pitch. Enlisting vocals from Clara La San, Bicep lay a euphoric topline over a strangely unique experimental sound. While Bicep is one of dance music’s most genre defying acts, the Irish duo incorporates four-on-the-floor drumwork into a warehouse rave-ready single. Primed perfectly for Bicep’s intense light shows, “Water’s” neon synths momentarily hypnotize the brain, making for an excellent albeit brief vehicle of escapism.
