Elderbrook delivers second album single, ‘Beautiful Morning,’ alongside Odesza
In preparation for his upcoming, sophomore LP Little Love due February 23 of next year, Elderbrook has released Odesza-assisted “Beautiful Morning.” This newest track follows September’s release “Howl” alongside Tourist.
Introduced with gentle synth work and Elderbrook’s mesmerizing vocals, the track leads into a syncopated rhythm. The result is a miraculous combination of both his and Odesza’s euphoric styles. The new song is joined by an intricate and playful, psychedelic visualizer spliced with collages from old Hollywood images.
Inspired by Elderbrook’s first years of parenthood, Little Love is a 10-track entity that is sure to be an evocative milestone in the prolific producer’s ever-expanding career. Commenting on his latest output, the self-taught, multi-hyphenate stated in a press release,
“‘Beautiful Morning’ is simply about two people spending time together. A day where nothing matters other than each other… When I first wrote the song, I had pictured it being two people in love. Between now and then, the song has definitely taken on multiple meanings for me. It now reminds me of early mornings with my children. The quiet of 4am wake ups and the calmness of knowing we are the only ones in (what feels like) the world.”
Elderbrook has been traveling across across North America this past fall touring in support of Odesza’s The Last Goodbye tour. This follows Elderbrook’s Innerlight EP from 2021, which featured heavy-hitters such as Louis The Child, Bob Moses, and Emmit Fenn. Gear up for Little Love and stream “Beautiful Morning” below.
