Rebūke turns in highly requested rework of Chris Lake, Grimes’ ‘A Drug From God’
Ever since Chris Lake and FISHER‘s Under Construction stint in Denver back in August, there’d been a version of “A Drug From God” that’s had everyone blaming Shazam for its lack of ID help. And quickly following Lake’s Electric Zoo appearance, he confirmed that his track with Grimes—which found itself on Dancing Astronaut‘s 2021 tracks of the year list—had received an update from Rebūke.
Almost a year to the day from the original’s arrival on Black Book Records, Rebūke’s version wholly reimagines what Lake and Grimes had created towards the end of 2021. Rebūke simply does what he does best on his second rework of the year, driving the duo’s collaboration into an even darker, techno-laced environment that leaves no room for doubt on why it’d been so coveted.
