San Pacho flaunts his range on groove-ridden debut EP, ‘As Long As We Got House’

Everything will be alright, As Long As We Got House. So goes the ethos behind San Pacho’s debut EP, a project that positions previously released earworms, “Trompeta,” “Party People,” “Voy,” and “Amor” alongside two new inclusions that underscore San Pacho’s acute sense of what dance floors will move to. Among this doublet is the EP’s title track, a glitchy ditty with a vocal sample that loops the sentiment, “as long as we got house.” These two heady hits of new music bookend the EP; after kicking off the effort with the eponymous number, San Pacho provides its finale in the form of “High Town,” a groovier tracklisting with a soulful ebb and flow guided by piano house elements.

San Pacho’s sonic stock has steadily risen since he burst into house and tech-house circles in 2019. In the handful of years that have followed his breakout, he’s racked up releases on esteemed labels such as Confession, Dim Mak, Insomniac Records, and UKF, among others. To Matroda’s Terminal Underground San Pacho takes his As Long As We Got House EP, a project reflective of his range and dexterity—two traits that have overwhelmingly contributed to his current acclaim.
