Fred again.. scoops viral prize at ceremony for BBC Radio 1 Dance Music Awards

2022 has been quite the year for Fred again... From teaming up with Swedish House Mafia via their collaboration “Turn On The Lights again..”, and even releasing his new album in the form of “Actual Life 3 (January 1 – September 9 2022)”, the Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2022 has enjoyed the greatest 12-month period of his career to date. Now, the London-based artist has been honored by BBC Radio 1 at its 2022 Dance Music Awards Ceremony.


Famed for several decades of dance music, hosted by the likes of Pete Tong and Annie Mac, BBC Radio 1 has become an institution for breaking the freshest new tracks across the United Kingdom and beyond, even giving birth to the fabled Essential Mix” series. Chase & Status were given the ‘Outstanding Contribution‘ prize at the ceremony. There was also success for LF System, who scooped the gong for disco-jam ‘Afraid To Feel’. But Fred walked away with the “Viral Moment of the Year” award for his stunning 2022 Boiler Room set.
