HoneyLuv rounds out banner year with Dope Earth Alien pairing, ‘Sway’
Back in April, HoneyLuv made her Black Book Records debut with a track that not only helped define her 2022 but also make for what can only be defined as her breakthrough release. And before the year officially comes to a close, she’s getting a head start on defending her newly minted Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2023 title with her “365” successor, “Sway” with Dope Earth Alien.
With a pair of reworks roped in between “Sway” and “365,” HoneyLuv has made her way back towards the original release cycle with her follow-up showing on Insomniac Records. And “Sway” is an auspicious first testament to why she found herself in our aforementioned class, bringing in Dope Earth Alien—who just featured on Honey Dijon’s Black Girl Magic—for an earworm vocal as HoneyLuv tempts its listeners to take the track’s title to heart with a sleek bedrock of tech-house. With appearances at Holy Ship!, Countdown NYE, and more throughout 2022’s concluding month, HoneyLuv will be taking “Sway” beyond its streaming platform host.
