Kompany, Blanke pair up on Ophelia Records for debut collaboration, ‘Power’
Heavy dubstep and hard dance have come together for a hard-hitting original on Dancing Astronaut‘s 2021 Label of the Year. Kompany had yet to have a standalone release on Ophelia Records—last appearing on Wooli’s Destination EP—but he paired up with Ophelia veteran Blanke to change that record with their long-awaited debut collaboration, “Power.”
“Power”—which drops ahead of the former’s Exchange LA headlining date and ahead of the latter’s Webster Hall headlining date for his Earth to the Stars tour—brings two stars of of bass music under one label room. And it’s the track that listeners of both sides have been waiting for with bated breath, blending the distinct dubstep styles of each name together—with an uptempo apex in between—in spectacular fashion. With both Kompany and Blanke having plenty on the horizon for 2023, the hope is now that “Power” is only the start of something between them.
