Joie de vivre and a floor-filling beat? STANY and Tchami bring both to their club-facing remix of the former’s debut single, “Only You.” It’s a smooth effort from a French outfit that ably guides the Rema and Offset feature into the dance space. What’s most interesting about the obvious queue contender, though, is STANY’s dexterity; the producer, whose production credits include songs for Cardi B, J. Balvin, DJ Snake, and Justin Bieber, among other A-listers, evidences his capacity to deftly move in and across genres on “Only You” and its accompanying remix. As “Only You – STANY & Tchami Remix” is only the second release issued under his own name, the sonic direction of STANY’s subsequent releases awaits further definition, but his creative pedigree and agility considered, what’s to come is worth watching.
