Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso extend Buy Now’s revival on two-sided EP with PARISI, ‘Church’

Out of what seems like thin air, Buy Now is back again. In September, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso revived their early-2000s alias for the first time in more than 15 years, giving the green light to one of Dancing Astronaut‘s most-anticipated IDs of the year with Salvatore Ganacci, “Let You Do This.” That seemed to be end of Buy Now’s 2022 activity, but Angello and Ingrosso opted to double down on that surprise release. A pair of Instagram stories popped up on their accounts on December 28, with what seemed to be a track teaser and a date that read two days later. And when both Axwell and Swedish House Mafia’s story remained empty, the Swede’s subreddit Discord reasonably assumed that it could’ve only meant something Buy Now related.

And that’s exactly what ended up happening, with Angello and Ingrosso pairing up alongside PARISI—a duo that’s earned co-production credits on “Turn On The Lights again..” as well as a handful of other tracks from Dancing Astronaut‘s 2022 Artist of the Year—for a two-for-one release, Church. Buy Now’s unsuspecting return ultimately shouldn’t come as too much of a shock considering the Swedes had previously confirmed that more non-Swedish House Mafia music would come about in the time following Paradise Again, with the moniker’s release tally now rising from three up to five. On Church, Angello and Ingrosso reunite with PARISI for some production backing, sending out an acid-laced title track on the EP’s A-side and attaching “Speak Up”—a progressive-infused, six-and-a-half-minute breakbeat cut—on its B-side, hopefully suggesting that we’ll see more from Buy Now in the new year. For now, enjoy the final days of 2022 with both Church tracks below.
