Time seems to be traveling at lightning speeds considering “Moth To A Flame” is well past celebrating its one-year anniversary. And Swedish House Mafia are sending 2022 out with a bang while reuniting with their teammate on Sal Slaiby’s management roster, The Weeknd. After the coupling of Dawn FM tracks they lent a production hand on—and a self-rework of “Sacrifice”—the three have found themselves on the same title as their Paradise Again collaboration’s counterpart once more, soundtracking James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way Of Water with help from legendary composer, Simon Franglen.

At first, the existence of a reunion between AxwellSebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello, and The Weeknd hadn’t crossed anyone’s mind when it was originally revealed that The Weeknd played a hand in scoring the sequel that’s scheduled for release on December 16. But as is tradition, the Swedes’ involvement was gradually disclosed when Alexander Wessely shared The Weeknd’s teaser post. From the 45-second teaser alone, “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” seemed to capture a chilling, cinematic feel of the successor to the highest-grossing film in history. One listen through and that’s put in writing, with the quartet wholly validating the producer-vocalist synergy for a fourth time, with “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” moving their tied lineage forward. We won’t spoil where their Avatar: The Way of Water contribution is exactly included in the film, but it can officially be streamed below.
