With the Kx5 album still scheduled for sometime in 2023 and a date with Ultra nearing, deadmau5 and Kaskade are maintaining the currently unnamed LP’s rollout with an official rework of their October original with The Moth & The Flame. After co-earning Dancing Astronaut‘s 2022 Track of the Year title—with “Escape” alongside Hayla—Kx5 have roped in Norwegian duo KREAM for an undertaking of “Alive.”
The rework is laced with KREAM‘s quintessential style, verging between emotive and euphoric as the pair add in beautifully progressive chord in tandem with the original vocal from The Moth & The Flame. Having previously remixed the likes of Swedish House Mafia, MEDUZA, Drake, and more in the past, KREAM’s latest spin for Kx5 is another extension of their ability to make tracks their own.
