Lane 8 rings in the new year with three-plus hours on his ‘Winter 2022 Mixtape’

It’s finally winter. The rest of the world might have observed that seasonal shift on December 21, but most of us are well aware at this point that Lane 8 is the only one in control of doing so. And after sharing an 80-minute reflection of some of This Never Happened’s most memorable releases of the previous calendar, Lane 8 is extending his tradition of a post-New Year’s delivery of his winter mixtape installment.

Coming off an end-of-year appearance at FNGRS CRSSD’s Proper NYE at Petco Park, the label boss’ “Winter 2022 Mixtape” continues 2023’s scorching first handful of days and clocks in at just over three hours. Opening with Rival Console’s “I Love This, I Love You,” Lane 8 scatters 13 future This Never Happened releases throughout the mixtape’s remaining runtime, with 38 other hand-picked selections including Sultan + Shepard, Tinlicker, Kasablanca, Le Youth, Dom Dolla, Chris Lake, and Dancing Astronaut‘s 2022 Artist of the Year Fred again.., among countless others.
