Audien, Codeko, and JT Roach form a progressive house trio on ‘Antidote’
After a formidable run for Audien‘s Progressive House Never Died movement and after playing several tour shows together with Codeko, the two have joined forces to evoke golden age nostalgia with “Antidote.” And the two adopt singer-songwriter JT Roach into the project for a track that Audien aptly describes as a “PHND classic with [his] good friends.”
Evidently set to be a forefront in the progressive house realm, “Antidote” sees the trio draw inspiration from the chaos and toxicity of the outside world, angling their track to be an anthem of peace for listeners, boosting spirits and deterring any negative energy. “Antidote” was fittingly born during the Progressive House Never Died tour in 2022, with Codeko explaining that the two producers’ tastes “has always been pretty similar” and it just made sense for a proper collaboration to happen. The final product took only a handful of weeks to come about, with JT Roach’s soaring vocals swing across the progressive framework and pulling together Audien and Codeko’s emotion-evoking harmony.
