Fred again.. teams up with Mike Skinner for update of ‘Actual Life 3’ cut
Just a couple of weeks removed from a priceless run in the Big Apple for Pangbourne House Mafia—including a record-breaking, sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden with Skrillex and Four Ted—Fred again… is back with new music. Dancing Astronaut‘s 2022 Artist of the Year decided to provide a club update to his Actual Life 3—one of Dancing Astronaut‘s Top Albums of 2022—track “Berwyn (all I got is you),” bringing in The Streets‘ Mike Skinner for a new version now known as “Mike (dessert island duvet).”
Still featuring the album cut’s original vocalist Dermot Kennedy, “Mike (dessert island duvet) was born due to a newfound friendship between Skinner and Fred again, which began when Skinner came out as a guest vocalist at All Points East in 2022. And the two injected the original with an old-school feel, with Fred again.. explaining that it’s one of his “favourite things [he’s] ever been a part of. Mainly because it’s Mainly because it’s just like listening to one of [his] favourite ever musicians. Well it’s not like that, it IS that.”
