Gorgon City deliver enchanting original ‘Voodoo,’ tease incoming fourth album
Gorgon City have brought out some magic for their second original of the year. Building upon the success of the duo’s recent underground focused singles—”Rumblah” and “Sidewindah”—”Voodoo” now arrives in tow via Astralwerks Records. It’s currently unclear as to which exact songs will be included, Gorgon City paired the release with the eye-catching teaser that their currently unnamed fourth album—the successor to one of Dancing Astronaut‘s Top Albums of 2021, Olympia—would be due at some point this year.
Known for their vocal-instilled anthems—like “Imagination,” “Ready For Your Love,” and “Nobody”—Gorgon City’s latest is a bridge between their signature vocal-heavy sound and classic 808 drums. By layering charming, hypnotizing vocals over a disco-laced bassline, the two created what has all the makings to be their next great club hit. With performances slated for Miami Music Week, Lollapalooza‘s trio of South American editions, Tomorrowland, Creamfields South, and many more, Gorgon City are primed to take their new stream of originals and forthcoming album out on the road for one of the biggest years to date.
