Aluna, TSHA form a powerhouse duo on ‘Killing Me’
Aluna is back with her latest release “Killing Me,” featuring the ever-talented TSHA. Taking inspiration from early 2000s disco-house, “Killing Me” is a captivating track that perfectly showcases Aluna’s exceptional vocal work and TSHA’s expert craftmanship behind the boards. The new collaboration marks Aluna’s return to her longtime home at Mad Decent, following the preceding “Forget About Me” with Diplo in January 2022. TSHA, on the other hand, is fresh off of the success of her highly acclaimed album, Capricorn Sun, which was named one of Dancing Astronaut‘s Top Albums of 2022.
“Killing Me” is the first single from Aluna’s upcoming sophomore album, set for release later this year. The lyrics speak to the hardships of love and pain as Aluna’s voice shines and compliments TSHA’s elaborate sound design. Commenting on the collaboration, Aluna shared, “It’s a catchy bop, but it’s still wonky and fresh with that distinctive originality that TSHA has us all in a chokehold.” Overall, “Killing Me” invites both artists to step out of their comfort zones while still laying down the framework for a catchy house beat.
