Hong Kong’s Boomerang nightclub launches new record label in partnership with Universal Music Group UK
Hong Kong’s esteemed mega-club, Boomerang, is unveiling its brand new record label, Distinct Records, in collaboration with Universal Music Group UK.
With a diverse range of genres including pop, house, and even hardstyle, Distinct Records aims to establish itself as a dominant force in the global music scene. The label boasts a team of seasoned professionals from renowned European labels, while its roster of artists currently enjoys a staggering 850k+ monthly listeners on Spotify. The revelation of Distinct Records elevates the club, well known as a dance music hotspot in its blossoming region of Asia.
Since its Halloween 2020 opening, Boomerang has rapidly gained acclaim in Hong Kong’s nightlife scene, making it the epicenter of the city’s hype. The club’s vision was conceived by Deejaykarlie, a prominent figure in the local music scene, who drew inspiration from her global travels and experiences in international clubs. Supporting this vision is John Rana, the owner of Privé Group, with over 15 years of expertise in Hong Kong’s nightlife industry.
To further enhance its presence, Boomerang has partnered with Remembaasia, a renowned artist management and agency in Asia. The club’s roster of resident DJs, including iLtik, Yaman, and Krayon, brings their unique performances and production styles, having graced prestigious events like Creamfields, Looptopia, and WorldClubDome.
