Pan-Pot release first album in eight years, ‘FORTE’

One of techno’s most-respected duos have released one of their greatest pieces of work to date. Out now via Second State, Forte comes as a representation of the past, the present, and the future of Pan-Pot. Having released a single per month dating back to July, FORTE is the composite, complete work of the pair’s 2023 releases on top of a few previously unreleased gems. Starting off the LP is none other than “PROTO,” a testament to their early 2000s background in industrial techno. “NOVA” is another standout record that is quick, groovy, and filled with drum kicks designed to keep listeners dancing. “CODA” finishes off the album with its intense synths and surging bass lines.

While each track stands alone from each other, it’s clear that Pan-Pot designed FORTE with the intention of each track building upon one another. Wanting to showcase their roots of the underground and Berlin style of techno, FORTE encapsulates the best of the past while providing inspiration for the future. Speaking on their first album in eight years, Pan-Pot explained that “FORTE meaning strong, translates all the good and bad times we have had, in a way that reflects on our sound. It’s a journey of reflection, reinvention, and inspiration. We consciously wanted to think about where we have come from, and where we want to go, and this project has been long in the making to celebrate 20 years of Pan-Pot.” Stream FORTE below.
