Asher Shashaty and Dani King’s new collaboration, “LA On My Mind,” is a sparkling, easy-listening number led by King’s evocative vocals. Memorable for her work with Ace Aura and Bear Grillz, among other dance artists, King has released music on prominent labels in the space, including Wakaan, Monstercat, Disciple, and NCS.

The song’s lyrics pay homage to quintessential LA imagery, like the sand of its many beaches and Pasadena’s mountains. “I wrote these lyrics in 2016 as a tribute to all of my friends in LA. To the people I fell in love with, to my best friends, to all of the people who make this place home. I love you LA,” King shared in a June 7 tweet.

“LA On My Mind” marks Shashaty’s second release of 2024, following March’s “EYES” with whoskevin?The producer has a wealth of new music to come, including collaborations with Luma, Messinian, and Mayor Apeshit.
