STAR SEED announces forthcoming ‘Magical Thinking EP’ on Ophelia Records, shares new single with Catlea and Suave

Experimental-melodic maestro STAR SEED has returned to the release radar with a towering new single “Angel” that features a tremendous vocal duet from Catlea and Suave. The record is the lead single off of his upcoming Magical Thinking EP that’s set to be released on Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records later this year.

The record serves as a collaborative reunion of sorts. STAR SEED and Catlea have worked together once before on the bass-heavy mau5trap cut “Chemicals” and the former has also worked with Suave on the single “Change For The Better,” released in 2021.

The announcement comes the same week STAR SEED was revealed as part of the lineup for the Ophelia Records’ Block Party in San Francisco at The Midway and Brooklyn at the Mirage. He’s fresh on the heels of playing in support of Kill The Noise and the label boss himself at the Lost In Dreams after party at Exchange LA. This continues momentum he’s been building this year in the live space with previous shows at high-profile festivals like EDC Las Vegas and Bonnaroo as well as support plays with William Black and MitiS.

“Angel” follows STAR SEED’s collaboration with Last Heroes “Different Future” with Liu Bei and LeyeT that also released on Ophelia. Previously, he released the three-track Equinox EP, on SLANDER‘s Heaven Sent label, featuring the lead single “Something To Hold On To” with Sara Benyo and Aaron Shirk.
