Anvaya release new single “Churaya”

Anvaya’s “Churaya” spent two years as an unfinished sketch before a flight to Dubai forced his hand — Kaushal welded it to a separate groove somewhere over the Atlantic, sent it to Sonia and Indo Warehouse co-founder Kahani, and the pair finished the record overnight. Sweeping stabs, tribal percussion, a groove that sits in tension without ever dropping and Sonia singing original Hindi poetry over the top of it. Her voice serving as an instrument rather than a topline. The duo’s contrasting styles do the rest of the work, Kaushal’s jazz training and Sonia’s classical background pulls melodic house toward darker chords and stranger harmony.

That’s the point, and it’s the same point Anvaya made at Coachella 2025, where they brought Gujarati Garba to the Gobi Stage as part of Indo Warehouse’s set — the first South Asian electronic collective to play the festival
