Maceo Plex & Maars – Going Back (Original Mix) [Preview]
Despite a hectic Balearic and festival touring schedule this summer, Maceo Plex has still found the time to tease with good tunes. "Going Back" is as sexy as any Ellum release, with brimming bass lines and downbeat drums, Maceo creates an aural environment well-tuned to Maars's haunting vocal work. Although Maceo sneaked this record into his debut March Boiler Room set a few months back, there's still no word on a official release from Ellum Audio.

Nile Rodgers and Chic to replace D’Angelo at San Francisco’s Outside Lands this weekend
According to SF Weekly, D'Angelo just announced he will be unable to make his Friday performance at this year's Outside Lands in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The cancellation reportedly stems from a "medical emergency." Luckily, there is a very satisfactory replacement set to perform in lieu of the crooner's 6:05pm timeslot at the Sutro Stage -- Nile Rodgers and his funk-disco band Chic will instead perform on Friday evening, right before Paul McCartney takes the stage at Lands End.
