Michael Brun partners with Artists for Peace and Justice for new track ‘Wherever I Go’

Michael Brun, alongside Artists for Peace and Justice, has unleashed a new record in support of musical development in his home country, Haiti. AJP is a non-profit founded by director Paul Haggis that backs the country’s education, healthcare, and arts programs.

“Wherever I Go,” a tropical-tinged track produced at Haiti’s Audio Institute, was unveiled at the New York Haitian Consulate and features a scintillating topline compliments of Hatiain singers J. Perry and BelO. An original production close to his heart and roots, the track is one of the more sentimental works among Brun’s growing repertoire.

“It was kind of life-changing to bring in this Haitian sound in this way with students who have grown up with it, and merging it with where I come from – which is electronic music,” Brun rattled. Even though I’m Haitian, electronic music was always the first thing that I knew and was the most comfortable with. But to be doing this together was kind of like opening something new and I’m listening to music differently now.”

All proceeds (streaming included) will be donated to Audio Institute in addition to other art and health organizations throughout Haiti.
