Michael Calfan drops remix of Marcus Schossow’s ‘Reverie’
Marcuss Schossow has hit dance music’s charts hard this summer, making a splash with “Liceu,” connecting wit Sebjak once more for “Kemi,” and finally find away to again outdo himself with “Reverie” Today, his Axtone smash hit has been reborn, with remix duties handed over to Michael Calfan in the cause of adding his signature French pep. While it would be difficult to imagine the original with an even rougher edge, Calfan does justice in softening to sharp kick and unrelenting rhythm. Unlike many of his remixes, Calfan leaves his easy-listening, bouncy progression at home and allows the backbone of the original to stand strong, injecting the proper zest that landed his rendition in Axwell’s Tomorrowland set.
