Mercer – Supreme (Original Mix)
Bring on the minimal drum fills, Mercer's "Supreme" has its sights set on bursting your eardrums. Supported by Nicky Romero, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Sander van Doorn and more, the young producer's latest big room output goes heavier than its predecessors, layering its kicks miles deep for a drop that scratches and screams like a big room banshee. Available today on Spinnin' Records, "Supreme" establishes its identity early on before it gives your eardrums a brief respite with a short lived and grit-riddled melody. Listen after the break -- as long as you don't mind hearing loss and heart palpitations.
RDGLDGRN – Lootin in London (TheFatRat Remix)
After receiving critical acclaim on his remix of Atlas Genius's "If So," TheFatRat returns with his latest original. Challenging the electro status quo, TheFatRat continues to jump from genre to genre as if to demonstrate that production ability transcends classification. Kicked off by dubstep groans, "Lootin" takes a turn towards dance pop with a distinctly synthetic swing. Hip hop influenced vocals and funky guitar riffs bounce throughout TheFatRat's grinding electro aesthetic, leaving behind an interesting and strangely infectious output whose sound is impossible to define.
Christian Burns & Paul van Dyk – We Are Tonight (Walden Remix) [Preview]
One of Dancing Astronaut's Artists to Watch 2013, Walden, takes on Christian Burns and Paul van Dyk's pristine original "We Are Tonight." The young star, most recently acclaimed for his Machine Land EP, builds a charming electro framework around "We Are Tonight's" trance foundation and soaring top line. What looks to be another stellar output from the rising talent, Walden's remix will be released via Armada on August 19th.
Coone feat. K19 – Times Gettin’ Hard (Original Mix)
As hardstyle continues to make in roads into the American dance music scene, Steve Aoki's Dim Mak imprint has decided to put their iconic label behind the emerging sound. The first hardstyle release for Dim Mak, Coone's "Times Gettin' Hard" features K19 hip-hop infused vocals over top the double timed kicks of hardstyle's signature sound. Squirrelly synthwork, heart stopping percussion and K19's "It's time to go hard!" mantra all work in tandem to create a strong first output for Dim Mak's newfound interest in hardstyle's US assimilation.
Hook N Sling & Chris Willis – Magnet (Original Mix)
Hook N Sling's latest original output comes by the way of Chris Willis's powerful vocals on "Magnet." A master at big room, vocally driven outputs, Hook turns to the Guetta-supported vocalist to lead the mix with his sing-a-long destined top line. Aptly titled, "Magnet's" energetic synthwork backed by Willis's gospel-tinged crooning makes for gripping festival fare and is another surefire charter from the Australian producer.
