Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, and Andy Samberg formed The Lonely Island back in 2001 and struck gold with their digital short "Lazy Sunday." From there the trio went on to release numerous spoofs, including "D*ck in a Box" with Justin Timberlake. Their most recent return to satirical music videos is for "Go Kindergarten" featuring P. Diddy showing Paul Rudd (and his beautiful mustache) how to get down in the club - it's great tongue-in-cheek play on Top 40 club culture... and surprisingly sounds like every track Will.i.am. has ever released.

Immediately upon airing, the Lonely Island's SNL Digital Short "When Will the Bass Drop," became canonized in dance music culture - for better or for worse. A biting satire of EDM culture, Davvinci's original was begging for a proper remix. Enter Slander, the LA-based Festival Trap duo who have been quickly rising through the ranks with a handful of unofficial edits that may as well be official remixes. Injecting a hefty dose of festival flair to the tongue-in-cheek original, Slander trades chuckles for tremors, shaking the original to its core -- ultimately answering the question, "When Will the Bass Drop?" How about now?
